I tried running that command and I get

ACPI BIOS Error (bug): AE_AML_PACKAGE_LIMIT, Index (0x0003D) is beyond end

My syslog and kern.log files are huge > 80GB each and I
@Robin Windey (r0wi), maybe. I hope kernel 5.11 will make Elan's
touchpad to work.

@Piotr Tomaszewski (nfm886) according to #109 it seems like you have the
"Elan" touchpad (mine is the "Synaptic" one) so it might behave a little
different?

The usb disconnect comes directly via interrupt. Execution doesn't hit
uvc_disconnect and this patch has no effect. :/

Thanks I finally managed to set up the same test cable and give this
patch a go. I still see the same error - third attempt in the trace
attached. I'm still of the opinion that this would need to be fixed in
usbcore.

@Robin Windey (r0wi), I booted intro recovery mode to the root prompt then
systemctl reboot. Nothing changed. Touhchpad still does not works.
