The cold boot did not work. I have entered the grub menu, edited the command
line parameters and added the parameters that you have provided and continued
to boot. Opened terminal ran "sudo btmon -w coldboot.journal" and opened a new
tab and ran "sudo modprobe btusb". The bluetooth is not up.

The problem seems to have sorted itself. I got the same message when I
tried again from a fresh boot to ensure nothing else was loading. On
