- restore a backup from before the 5.0.0-1032-azure kernel update
- restart the vm
- sudo apt update
- sudo apt upgrade
- sudo apt install --install-recommends linux-generic-hwe-18.04

A normal office usb mouse as the HAMA AM-5400 works.
Just want to inform that the T7 eastern tech sinowealth mouse not
