I switch to ubuntu 20.04 running kernel 5.4.0-17. I have the same issue
when closing the lid, using pm-suspend or systemctl suspend.

You mean I should try an older version? Then I think I should try v5.0.x
first. As you can see, it takes time to reproduce it again. I don't know
how to intentionally reproduce it.
