As an extra data point, when I attempted to boot the latest mainline
kernel for bug 1830910, it didn't fully boot but it did get far enough
to display the "kernel: xhci_hcd :07:00.2: can't setup: -110"
messages. So the mainline kernel doesn't address this issue either.
