set the bios to discrete only, I get an HDMI signal. If I set the bios
option to hybrid, I can use prime-select to switch between intel and
nvidia but in both cases I cannot use HDMI anymore and in both cases
power consumption

sorry, that was rather vague. Yes, by that I mean that it does wake up
from sleep, and it does wake up immediately when I open the lid. When
using 4.15.0-36 or later, on the other hand, sleep is not reliable. It
may work, but most times it does not.
