I run Linux Mint 19 (cinnamon) parallelly on the same notebook. After upgrade
to kernel 4.15.0-24 it hangs too. But here it boots with a prior kernel without

Hi, how to fix this practically without compiling any code? Today i lost
wlan and error message let me into this bug. Currently my laptop is a
brick without wlan...

now kernel is (standard 16.04) 4.4.0-130-generic(i686)
seems that kernel detected

I think I got hit by this bug too after the kernel update to
4.15.0-24-generic. Found this on askubuntu
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1051555/after-security-update-
