Hi i have a Lenovo g50-80 with the same bug ate the time i didnt notice at the
BIOS but i could only boot to Ubuntu and i copied my files to a hard drive and
recovered windows 10 with one key recovery doing boot repair though ubuntu. he
gave me various options in grub to pick and i choose the on
Toshiba Portege R500 (Graphics Processor Intel GMA 950, Intel Core 2 Duo
CPU U7700 @ 1.33 GHz)
Downloaded the official lubuntu-17.10-desktop-amd64.iso on January 4th
2018, installed it from USB flashdrive without issues. Reboot => strange

Hi Joseph, no this issue has not occurred on any other Ubuntu kernels up to
4.14. In particular, 4.13 works fine and is much more stable (does not hangs
and has no issues with the periphery unlike 4.14).

Ok, after updating to the latest BIOS the issue seems resolved for me.
I'm now also at an uptime of over 3 weeks, and before I could never get
past 1 week. I've updated the BIOS of my ASRock AB350 Pro4 AMD B350 to
3.20 with AGESA 1.0.0.6b.
I am currently running kernel 4.14.5 with CONFIG_RCU_NOCB_
