Also, it is not a hardware issue, it works fine in windows on the same
computer when testing for keyboard events.
The following is what I get from xev:

KeyPress event, serial 28, synthetic NO, window 0x221,
root 0x270, subw 0x0, time 354142, (133,154), root:(228,239),

Apparently it is caused by a repeated character every second "^@",
presumably the keyboard's fn key.
In multi-user, key repeating works, however ^@ is spammed every second.

Bluetooth freezing video playback In Ubuntu/Kubuntu 16.04

Just a comment from a security module developer.
What happens if you pass security=none to kernel command line options
(i.e. disable AppArmor security module), for I think it might help
isolating the problem because you are hitting oops at
security_vm_enough_memory_mm() and security_file_free().
Public bug reported:
My base system where the problem occurs is Ubuntu 17.04 with distro
provided kernel 4.10 (-19, -33, -35), although the same was occuring on
16.04 LTS (that's actually why I've switched to 17.04).
WiFi stops working randomly, usually after couple of minutes after
system starts

After a week of testing v4.14-rc2, the conclusions remain the same:
- System doesn't freeze when booting up and logging in with the dock attached.
- Ethernet doesn't connect automatically on boot / after login, manual
intervention required.
- System doesn't wake from suspend if the dock was discon
Got an oops with 4.14 that hung firefox (like the ubuntu 4.13 kernel),
had to hard-reset because the restart process couldn't kill my session.
The 4.14-rc2 mainline kernel has some other bugs: network-manager can't
get an ip via dhcp, I have to manually run sudo dhclient (sometimes
multiple times)
(My previous comment was too long, so I moved the logs to the end.)
The 4.13.0 mainline kernel is unusable, it panicked once immediately after
boot, the second time it hung on the boot splash, the third time when I tried
to open this page in firefox.
There was also an oops before the third hang,
