I researched the issue some time ago. My webcam and several others like HP
are affected by a faulty driver for this webcam, which should be the kernel
uvcvideo module. This is the reason why it happens in several progs, like
guvcview and cheese.

Ok, seems that there is a workaround for this problem. Updating
/etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf and adding this to the file did
solve the problem.

However, the touchscreen is not working. Mousepad shows up as "Elan Touchpad"
in xinput. Now missing "SYNA7300:00 06CB:177C" device that was the touchscreen.
