Dimitrenko, I'm afraid this bug is NOT FIXED. I've just tested with
3.13.0-123 (installed today via apt-get), and the system still hangs
with it.

There is a slider for the LED in alsamixer but it doesn't change anything.

Thinking back on system changes I think these issues may have started
occurring roughly the time I installed LXD and started running
containers.
So I've uninstalled LXD and will monitor to see if the issue clears up.
