Hi. Just to say thanks for fixing this. However the bug has occured for
me very recently on 16.04 LTS. Both 16.04.1 (4.4 kernel) and 16.04.2
(4.8 kernel).
So at this time this was not fixed for 16.04. Which aligns with the 'no
fix target' here for '16.04' in the bug description. Anyhow regardless
I'd return my board if I could, but I can't (had to wait 2+weeks for
other parts to arrive before I started build).
Anyone have a good kernel compilation guide (or even just paste their
commands I would be grateful for) so that I can build up-to-date

team.
I received an email response today from Gigabyte team.
"Thank you for emailing GIGABYTE.

Commit 8f3dbfd79ed9 was added to Zesty in version: Ubuntu-4.10.0-16.
However, Yakkety does not yet have this commit. I built a Yakkety test
kernel with a pick of commit 8f3dbfd79ed9. It can be downloaded from:

So experiencing several crashes a day (hard lock) I decided to install
the HWE 4.8 kernel using the Xenial deb files. No more lock ups have
occured since.
This seems to me an extremely critical issue at the heart of the OS. I
would have expected more visibility on this TBH.
