Do you have any alsa/pulseaudio config?
This can be quickly verified by running "vanilla" Ubuntu.

To remove mainline kernels, you can run something like this:
$ sudo apt purge $(dpkg -l | grep 041100rc2 | awk '{

I backported commit 1533e77315220 to Trusty and built a test kernel.
The test kernel can be downloaded from:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp1668042/trusty
Can you test this kernel and see if it resolves this bug for Trusty?

Hello Canonical.
Applying dccp commit 449809a66c1d0b1563dee84493e14bf3104d2d7e on top of
the 4.10.0-13 kernel source appears to have resolved this issue.

Hi,
I don't remember encountering this bug with Linux 4.8, happens about
every 1-3 hours with Linux 4.10 (although I couldn't figure out a way to
reproduce it).
I'll try with Linux 4.11 RC3 and tell you how it goes.
