So my boot space is constantly full as well. I am running Ubuntu Mate
16.04. At this point even doing sudo purge-old-kernels doesn't work
because the kernel is so big that 250mb is not even enough room more
than 2 kernels. My suggestion to fix this is to have the boot drive
increased to at least 2g
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer

v4.9 kernel[0].

Both patches apply cleanly to the 4.9-rc8 but I cannot build the kernel
with the configuration /boot/config-4.9.0-040900rc8-generic on my laptop
without upgrading the compiler:

I have 8g ram and 8g swap however sudo pm-hibernate makes the screen go
off for a few seconds and then it comes back w/o restarting or halting.
Everything works as normal afterwards. wifi goes off and on during the
process and works normal afterwards as well.

We recently inherited several Proliant HP-SL270s Gen 8 with P420 raid
controller. Loading 16.04 with kernel 4.4.0-31 I cannot see the logical
disk, I disabled Intel Vt-d (same as IOMMU) and this did not fix. There
was a similar bug that expired where disabling IOMMU allowed the disks
to be seen on

I’m able to build and run custom Kernel if and only if I don’t shutdown or
reboot. Otherwise, the process ends in a dead screen CRTL+ALT+xyz has no
effect. Works fine up to Kernel 4.8.12. Apport is not showing anything.
