It turns out this isn't actually working. The problem is the PATH in
cron, which does not include /sbin, where the zpool command lives. I've
attached a debdiff to fix this. I've tested to confirm that the PATH
thing fixes it, but on Sunday, I'll know absolutely 100% by verifying

a few seconds and plugged the monitor to the back VGA connector.
