Until Ubuntu 16.04 daily 20160406 works fine. the release run on the kernel
4.4.16.
that is, the Wifi has no problem until got 16.04 daily 20160415+later.
My WiFi connection failed mostly since I have upgrade to daily 20160415 +
later.

I will close this bug as the hardware is not in a stable state, sometime the
display will flicker from the very beginning (even on the BIOS screen), which
make it hard to determine it's a HW/SW issue.

about an hour of usage and after just a couple of minutes the following

I can confirm that the patch in comment 28 (Use WaRsDisableCoarsePowerGating)
solved the issue on my Intel NUC6i5 with only a moderate increase in power
consumption.
With an idle desktop using kernel 4.6.0-rc3, the system consumes:
