I just want to share my experience.
I had the same issue with touchpad on the laptop. After upgrading the
kernel to 4.3.3 or 4.4 touchpad started working but I met the problem
with video artifacts.

take off the 's' in https and it should work fine, I think that is the
problem.
however, the 5Ghz is kind of a problem, does anyone have a solution for
that?

Hi. Sorry, I just don't have the time to locate the commit that fixes
the issue. My machine is old and slow, so even building the kernel once
would probably take ages. Frankly, it would be less effort to boot into
Windows every time I wanted to scan something!
