Ubuntu detects no bluetooth devices, Windows 10 on same laptop detects
dozen which is probably all bluetooth devices on this floor of this
apartment house.
I have no idea what Bluetooth chipset I have, the only information I
found with googling and various system information

bunch of alsa stuff and i upgraded to kernel 4.4

Maybe the problem is not with adapter itself but with Zenbook UX301LA.
Fn+F2 hotkey used to enable/disable BT and Wi-Fi doesn't work too.
