The work-around I mentioned above (booting recovery + continue) does not
seem to work reliably. It just took me half an hour to have a successful

With Ubuntu wily kernel 4.2.0-18-generic a SyncTarget to a DRBD on LVM
on MD Raid1 produces errors:

Christopher, what I learned from testing is the following:
- 4.2.0-16-generic -> good kernel
- 4.2.0-17-generic -> defect kernel
- 4.2.0-18-generic -> good kernel
Is this enough detail to continue?
Or do I need to build the commits between 4.2.0-16-generic and 4.2.0-17-generic?

I have now downloaded and installed kernel 4.3.0 as requested and this
seems to have fixed the problem.
I have added the corresponding tags but I'm not sure about the
"spelling" of the version numbers. Another example in the standard text
would be helpful (there was no match on the pattern "X.Y-rc
