On some Skylake-U platforms, if boots with battery only and has no USB
device connect, after boot the USB port can't be used, even though the
xHCI Host Controller doesn't report any error in dmesg. The USB device
looks like doesn't turn on, LED on USB mouse or keyboa

firmware load is just an info message, in case firmware load fails,
driver will fallback to using firmware already flashed in card. Drivers
for 1.12.25.0 are backwards compatible with 1.9.23.0

Unfortunately, I've recently found that switching to a TTY doesn't

Just to confirm my understanding of this bug, did doing so change the
value of max_sectors_kb / max_hw_sectors_kb? I don't believe it would
have survived the reboot after the install, but you could try adding it
to the kernel command line of the installed system and see.

It looks like there are 2 or 3 bugs together in this case (maybe ?).
I probably solved just the bug where null pointer was being referenced
(based on a a Debian Bug already solved).

I need more information than this. The PPA I provided works with Trusty,
Vivid and Wily with 3.
I install vivid and tried to download some packages (for an upgrade to
wily). After initial successs download slowed and pings to google.com
were equally 1000ms. Other computers on my network for pings of 30ms.
On installing this package and rebooting the packages all downloaded
fine and pings to

1. Device doesn't connect directly after it got paired in the UI and needs a
second user step to get connected
