For your info, this is a fresh installation so I haven't tried any of
the previous solutions. I do have a folder named QCA6174 in
/lib/firmware/ath10k/ but I don't know if this was added by #244 .deb

It's been fine with two different high traffic guests. We have generic-
receive-offload disabled now, to fix a different problem (it breaks IPv6
PMTUD when bridging). Maybe that's it. But when I was testing (for
comment #13), I did try leaving gro enabled and I still couldn't
reproduce the problem.

The recent upgrade to nvidia-340 in Trusty broke bumblebee. After plymouth, it
goes to a black screen.
The version in the Bumblebee's PPA is also not perfect. It works, but after
running optirun/primusrun, the GPU stays ON because it fails to unload the
nvidia module.

I am attaching a screen shot of my problem because it looks so similar
and I haven't had any luck in solving it. I can still boot with the
Linux 3.19.0-21-generic kernel from the Grub menu. However the more
recent versions (22 through 25) are not booting. I am not sure how to
tell for certain but i

I have 2 Dell Inspiron 3647, after upgrading to 14.04 the mouse/keyboard
do not work anymore. To restore functionality, I have to unplug
keyboard and mouse before starting the computer and plug back after
login screen. If mouse/keyboard are plugged from boot they stop working
I'm an idiot. It was a flipping HDMI cable that went bad. Very strange it
gave me all kinds of mother board errors and unbootable Ubuntu install.
Stranger yet that USB stick would boot fine and I could chroot into my
Ubuntu LVM and run everything. Now boots slow from I'm sure from all the
"fixing"
Still doesn't work for me after trying #244. I tried copying the
firmware from #124 as well but it didn't help.
Note that I haven't upgraded my kernel to 3.19 but since others can make
it work with that kernel I'll stick to the one I have.

Hi,
as I wrote somewhere up the thread, you can try to install the server
version (say of the LTS) and then add whatever else you need -- I suppose
this is the best shot and relatively easy. BIOS settings are possibly of
relevance as well (as mentioned in another post up the thread). Good luck!
This is really becoming a problem. The latest logitech bluetooth devices
simply do not work with the version of bluez used in Ubuntu! Every
supported release needs to be upgraded to the latest version in order to
ensure a satisfactory end-user experience.
