Under kernel 3.2.0-54 and 3.9.3 (at least), the accept() system call in
a PF_LOCAL, AF_LOCAL, SOCK_STREAM context returns an addrlen for the
sockaddr_un structure that is too large by one.
As the SUN_LEN macro of the sys/un.h header shows, the "length" of the
structure is exp
"pci=use_crs" is a workaround but not a fix. If anybody who has this
problem can attach a complete dmesg log, we should be able to fix the
kernel so it works without having to boot with "pci=use_crs".

Lenovo A740 doesn't poweroff o

If I do "systemctl poweroff" or use any GUI to try to shut down, it gets
to the stage of
[ OK ] Reached target Shutdown
reboot: System halted
but just sits there unresponsive, and does not actually power down.
Similarly, if I try running "fwts -P", the hibernate test seems
On testing hibernation, the screen first blanked out for half a second,
then showed the desktop again, but unresponsive. I clicked the power
button, it turned off, then clicked the power button again, and it
resumed fine with my terminal open. So hibernation "works" except, like

I no longer get this problem with the Utopic kernel from the LTS
Enablement Stack in Ubuntu 14.04.2. Previously I had to manually build a
fixed version the driver ideapad-laptop after each kernel update, this
seems to no longer be necessary on my Yoga 2 Pro.
