I've updated the driver to the latest version from broadcom.com, version
3.137h; and I am still experiencing a similar issue. However, when the driver
crashes, sometimes (70%) chance that the machine is useable, and another 30%
the machine is totally locked up.

installation, but after rebooting one or two times.

1) The modules landed in linux-image, while they should be in linux-image-extra
2) You probably want to move the common* bit after the autogen bit, not before,

Looking a little closer, the 'wl' module looked promising. 'rmmod wl &&
modprobe wl' does get everything back on its feet after the resume
failure.
