We finally received a second unit of Dell R220 and we can confirm the
issue (kernel panic with 32-bits kernel except when booting with

thanks for your advise. I upgraded to the latest bios but it still crashes on
resume from S3. With the old bios, I could see kernel messages. With the new
bios, I'm only getting a black screen (backlight on). I can't ping the machine

Since I was unable to successfully use git bisect, I decided to take
another tack. I am running 14.04 no mods or edits, just a simple unstall
of Xubuntu. I installed the b43 driver so the wifi works. If I try to
install and 'install updates', the install crashes. I installed then did

I already rebooted into a previous kernel and also downgraded to 12.04LTS.
Still no avail. The synaptics touchpad isnt getting listed here too.
