I am using Ubuntu 14.04, and the problem is still present.
And I think this issue may start to gain relevance, since USB 3.0
attached SSDs are starting to appear, and BTRFS to check this parameter
for applying SSD mount option.

I have updated bios (using easy flash for ones asking, took me 3h to figure out
how I would do that without windows...) according to your recommandation and it
doesn't change anything.

Here is the file. This file replaces /usr/src/linux-
source-3.15.0/sound/pci/emu10k1/emumpu401.c
This is the only file that needs to be modified. Kernel build works
without errors with this file.

The new BIOS doesn't make any difference. Hibernation still hangs with
the original Ubuntu kernel, and it works fine with a kernel that has
commit a1
OK, here are the results:
* Tested with kernel version 3.15.0-031500-lowlatency, specifically the
mainline kernel file linux-
image-3.15.0-031500-lowlatency_3.15.0-031500.201406111300_amd64.deb and
the associated header file.
