My XPS 13.3FHD brightness has been off since kernel 3.8.0-30. Lucky for
me I never removed kernel 3.8.0-29, since I can reboot into that kernel

So far I did not have any problem with the fan on this laptop. And the
temperature just using the i915 stays always low. I have already
contacted HP support and this weekend I 'll clean the fan. I will keep
the kernel 3.10.11 to see if I will have the same problem.

I can confirm that this bug is still present in Linux 3.8.0, using X
Server 7.7 and driver 7.1.0. As graphics are initialized screen just

I have randomly system freezes on Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit since I installed my
system on a new blank ultrabook (Wortmann Terra Mobile 1450 II) in December
2012.
When the system freezes no mouse , no keyboard, no REISUB
I'm seeing this for the first time on a 3.11 kernel, so I'd say it's
still a problem. I haven't seen it on 3.9.* or 3.10.* kernels though.

I'm currently on Kernel 3.10.11 all the sensors are detected well. The
fan is working fine I cannot almost hear it because the temperature is
44°. I never had this low temperature on linux and I'm very happy about
the kernel 3.10.
I was moving to 3.11 because of the patches introduced for the amd
