With new kernel 3.8.0-29-generic my laptop's cardreader now works!
I can see now 'rts8139.ko' file in directory 'kernel/drivers/staging/rts8139'.
Maybe it is the driver I've been needing so long?
I've inserted my SDHC card in the internal cardreader, and dmesg shows:

Greetings.
My firefox also freezes the entire system and creates
near-horizontal bars on the screen. My graphic card is
NVIDIA Corporation C61 [GeForce 6150SE nForce 430] (rev a2)
exactly the same as Francisco Stefano Wechsler's and Jacques Belin's
graphic cards. Actually I am using antix 13.1 and
@Po-Hsu, can you run 'lspci -nn' to find out the PCI ID? Thanks.

The issue is not appearing on a system with the kernel installed from
the above link. Please see attached the kernel log (starting from Sep 4
14:18:20 is the logs obtained after installing the above test kernel)

I've upgrated yesterday and today (4-09-2013) works on both kernels (the
latest and the lowlatency I usually use). I do daily the upgrades so
before I set the bug to fix released if you don't have problems I'll try
with the next upgrades of the kernel and co to see if the bug is still
in the system

12.04.3 and 13.04 both use the 3.8 kernel. There may be a regression in
the 3.8.13.5 kernel. Do you happen to know the kernel version you were
running in 13.04? Can you run uname -a on the 13.04 system?
Also, it would be helpful to test a few kernel to confirm if this is a
regression or not. C
