I think xrandr-1.2 is the problem as in kcontrol/randr/randrscreen.h
is stated this:

void setPrimaryOutput(RandROutput* output);
RandROutput* primaryOutput();
void proposePrimaryOutput(RandROutput* output);
#endif
though in randroutput.cpp n
working on a Solaris 10 port of KDE4.6, but have no experience working
with xrandr.
Does someone have a hint they can throw in my direction to fix or
workaround this.
According to the config, I have xrandr-1.2
