I don't think it's about reloading settings at runtime, but if we where to support that it wouldn't be easy in system settings, simply connecting changed() signal to the apply() slot would do the trick. Then there is the question if one wants to support this behavior, and based in which use case.

"Explicit is better than implicit." quoted from Zen of Python. Copying the bad part of GNOME/MacOS is not a clever idea. The apply button gives us a change to regret. 2013/5/21 Damian Ivanov > Hi all, > > When people change a setting in KDE they 1st hit the apply button. > In GNOME people chan

Personally, I like the apply button because it makes applying the changes explicit. Whenever there is no apply button, I feel confused about if/how/when the changes are applied. Just my 5 cents :-) 2013/5/21 Ovidiu-Florin Bogdan > I would like that. > > *Ovidiu-Florin Bogdan* > Software Develo

Hi all, When people change a setting in KDE they 1st hit the apply button. In GNOME people change the setting and the setting is change instantly there is no apply button. Is it possible to have the same behavior in KDE? Best Regards, Damian >> Visit http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-dev
