Hello KDE developers,
I develop pico-wizard, an OEM install wizard used in Plasma Mobile and
Plasma Bigscreen. We would like to incubate it to work more closely with
KDE, and perhaps eventually use it for OEM installs on Plasma Desktop too.

Yes, it builds for me here - again with Gentoo. That distro packages
imlib1 separately from imlib2 so they can be coinstalled and appears to
have no plans to remo

As a distro packaging it's much easier and more reliable to just let the
new version get added automatically to our builds. As a release manager it
shouldn't be any harder to automate making a new bugfix release. I do this
already for Plasma when requested. It should be the default method.
