If you're using a slideshow as wallpaper or in a photo frame widget, then
you're hitting https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368838. If so, try running
plasmashell with "QSG_RENDER_LOOP=threaded" and see if that fixes the issue
(and let us know if it does!).

check if you are using some widgets. Remove all of them and see if that
helps.
Another thing to check is to use a single static image as wallpaper.
You need to tell your plasma and framework version.
