Showing the warning again is not a good idea. Users do a deliberate choice when
they ignore the warning and change the setting. At that point we don't need to

I think the issue on your device was that upower still reports the battery is
charging (ie. check upower -d), there's not a lot I can do about that,
unfortunately. This needs to be fixed in the kernel/driver.

Overall I think the main problem here is that the DRM backend doesn't handle
different formats properly yet. It only supports RGB32. Given the fbdev bug on
the same hardware I assume that it's also an BGR/24 case.
