I can say that there are improvements. It does not crash anymore for moving a
file from a folder to another folder.

Plasma 5.14.2 was released, and there are some fixes in Folder view that could
affect this issue. Is this still reproducible after updating?

Alright, I have a rather interesting update. This issue is only present on Xorg
desktop sessions, if you try this on Wayland it works properly.
