I got it working, I deleted ~/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals
Logged out, then it worked again.
Must be me that changed something.

good, so at least it's not completely broken.
When did you start noticing the problem? Do you maybe use a custom look and
feel package? How is grace time configured on the lock screen?
