So, deletion works fine for but moving files to trash does not work for you. It
does also not work in other applications.
You can set the default mode to delete (in Settings->Configure

What happens if you right click on a file and select "Move to Trash"?

If you start Krusader from command line is there any output for the
"Move to Trash" action?
