You can always just type the file extension, that's way faster than scrolling
and clicking. And note in the export settings dialog there's a checkbox "also
save as kra".

I understand now the problem - and Microsoft’s fault. Too bad there is no way
to save quickly as .kra. In Affinity Photo, they make the difference between

No, that's not unusual at all, especially since it's not a menu, but a
combobox. Please blame Microsoft for having removed the scollbar from the
combobox; that's not our code.
