OK, I redownloaded the zip, and Krita behaves now, I have it open for a couple
of hours now, did some doodling and other stuff and it hasn't crashed.
Whatever it was with the first download, I don't know, although I do

Then it definitely isn't a lack of ram. Can you maybe redownload the x64 build
and check whether it's not some corruption of the previous download?
