Which version did you test? Additionally, I think the monitored section is not
related to new-mail checking. You could check your account settings if there is
regular checking for new mail enabled.

It is still a bug. Still doesn't work. Can't understand why it hasn't
been fixed for at least 5 years. Kontact is rubbish.
