Problem solved.
Apparently, the keyboard button X86AudioMicMute 198 is stuck. Replace
keyboard n all ok now. Now, revert to konsole.

Cannot reproduce. Does it happen on a freshly created user account? Does it
happen if you have not started typing (there is an "s" already in the input)?
