right click "gives nothing" means you do not get ANY popup ?
If you get nothing, then you clicked on the wrong spot.
Click on the empty area right of the last menu "Help" in english.
You should get a popup!

The right click give nothing. The checkbox "Colors" don't help.

Try a right click on the menu bar. There you should see a "Colors..." checkbox.
Check it.
However only in a very old version of kolourpaint it was possible to hide this
colors dock window.
