I had, at one time, installed an appimage version of KMymoney but it took a
bit of tweaking to get it to work.

You could also checkout https://kmymoney.org/appimage to install and use a
newer version in parallel to the installed version of your distro.

You did, and there is no reason to delete - it is a perfectly valid request. I
just changed the severity from "minor" to "wishlist" to indicate that.
