If you have tried with the AppImage and it still not runs please delete
folloing files: kdenliverc and kdenlive-appimagerc, see here:

I spent the evening putting a new updated installation of Mint Linux 20 on
my computer. I still have the same issue of new tracks not allowing me to

I just noticed something else as well. Clicking the active/inactive [V1]
doesn't do anything. On the tracks that work I can edit them no matter
what the toggle is set to. On the tracks that don't work I ca

I've tried both the app image and the installed version. When I drag the
vid clip to the track I get the hand with the graphic showing it will add
the clip, but it never drops on the track.

If drag and drop the clip into the timeline doesn't work as well please try
with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 20.08.1 to see if there are any
