I left digikam open overnight. No more images showed up in any of the
empty folders.
Relaunching digikam after every "successful" scan seems to populate a
few more folders.
Is there a detailed log file I can look at

This is normal, the exact number of images available is not known at the
beginning. As long as the progress bar does not disappear, scanning is in
progress. Network scanning will take several hours even with good ha

Scanning took about 30 minutes. The progress bar did hit 100%.
When I re-launch the folders get scanned again. Here's a screenshot of
the scanning.
