There is a patch applied to QtAV for this problem in current implementation
from git/master :

I installed QtAV, QtAV-players and QtAV-qml , but it didn't solved the

In all cases, you can install also the qtav video player and try to play the
mp4 files. It must work as with the digiKam AppImage bundle. If not report this
problem to OpenSuse team as DOWNSTREAM. It's not

Note : digiKam use QtAv + ffmpeg codecs to play video. did you install a native
opensuse ffmpeg version including mp4 codecs support ?
