I forgot to add that I am only having this problem when I invoke Spectacle via
keyboard shortcut when it is closed.
I do not have this problem when I open Spectacle manually.

I can reproduce this too. Ubuntu (Kubuntu) 23.04.
I can’t be sure but I think I only started having this problem after I manually
clicked “Save as” one time.
