If this is still reproducible, please add a backtrace with debug symbols for
discover. If comment #3 did not help, please ask in a forum of your
distribution how to install them.

You should be getting this issue every time you run Discover, not just when
opening a file, as it's crashing in initialization code.
Can you confirm?
Also, would it be possible to get a backtrace with debug symbols?
