Due to that problem, I switched for vlc backend but I'm not satisfied : I miss
the gapless playing provided buy gstreamer backend.
Still, a small part of my collection can't be played by amarok with gstream

I have also a static background but ... I had a photo widget on my desktop,
configured as ... slideshow ! I've shut it and it works fine.

output of amarok -d --nofork while trying to play 4 files
The first 3 files won't play. The fourth plays normally.
