I have tried to install the catalogues afresh with the same result i.e.,
some of the catalogues are held in storage but many require installing

Hello,
This is an additional comment to the bug report sent earlier today.
The installation failure occurs even when the k-star installer is operated from
the start when no leftovers of the previous installation are
latest version installer (KStars 2.9.3) did not finalize the procedure of
installation indicating the following error in the image attached.

here again. The plugin box (add-on installer ) shows that all installed

My reported problems were not associated with the crashes or hanging of
the main application general. Instead, the problems were with the
plug-in container. The latter never seemed finalized, or it periodically

In addition, the USNO NOMAD catalogue never gets installed. I do not
know if it is unable to download or there is a problem with the

This happens irrespective of any actions I do. Whenever I download and
install the catalogues, these errors repeat themselves. What is
important that the same errors occur on two different machines with OSs
