I added 3d Acceleration to the virtio driver.
It hasn't crashed yet.

It is using the virtio driver from KVM.
3d Accelleration was turned OFF.
I turned it ON and will continue to check for reoccurance.

clarification: when it starts responding to ping again, the screen is still
