The system runs on a laptop. When I posted the files, I used the builtin
display plus an external one. When I take the computer with me, I often hook it
up to external displays.

It does not seem like the screen brightness has the same issue. I'm not a 100%
positive though, as there is no audio-feedback, whcih is the most obvious
indicator of the behavior.

To me it felt out-of-place, as the task switcher is used frequently. Also I
don't perceive it as a normal window, e.g. because it has no decorations and is
not created by a user-program.
